Obviously an inexact parallel, but lessons for today's leaders.
Yet another reference to a Hollywood movie where, to express their creative genius, artists/producers use "creative liberty." Hey folks, pick up a book!
"Lincoln" is exquisitely crafted and even more exquisitely timed. Focused on Lincoln's battle to win House passage of the 13th Amendment, it presents useful lessons in the subtle arts of presidential leadership and the practice of politics, at once grimy and sublime********** Therein lies that problem we do not have presidential leadership, maybe Obama should watch it over and over again, for the next 4 years.
Obama doesn't understand that leadership requires working across the aisle. Lincoln worked to unite the country, Obama has worked to divide it. He has succeeded with a 50/50 split of extreme ideologies..
