Have every meeting's 1st minute dedicated to silent prayer/thoughts. Problem solved.

No one needs a Priest, Rabbi, Minister, Monk, or Inman to lead anything. As Martin stated a moment of silence for whatever you believe or feel....pray, reflect, or though. Having prayer is why you have entities like the Catholic church trying to direct policy on the population.

It's east to see why agnostics, atheists, and those of minority religions oppose the overwhelmingly Christian public prayers. The irony is that Christians should be against public prayer, too. Jesus told his followers to pray in private and that only "hypocrites" pray loudly for all to hear and babble on (Matthew 6:5-8). As someone who's heard plenty of these public prayers, I think most of the speakers would qualify.

Why do we even need a "moment of silence" to begin a public meeting so people can pray or reflect? Pray, reflect, whatever on your own time, or get together ten minutes before the meeting starts and do whatever you'd like.

We better remove God from everything, he keeps messing with the global warming religion government is pushing. Good luck.

"Have every meeting's 1st minute dedicated to silent prayer/thoughts. Problem solved." Why can't you take your minute of prayer/reflection BEFORE the meeting is called to order and others are required to be there?

---Pray, reflect, whatever on your own time, or get together ten minutes before the meeting starts and do whatever you'd like.---Agreed. If you work for a production type company, you get your lunch in the frig, hit the rest rooms, or have your cig before the buzzer goes. When the buzzer goes, you're on company time doing company business. Prayer and/or reflection are personal, do it on your own time.
