Twins need his arm big time.... hopefully, he is ready.......not sure whether I can take another year of 90+ losses.......

I'd be worried about a starter that cannot make this terrible squad. They need at least three pitchers to step up, we all know Terry Ryan is gutless when it comes to bringing in new quality pitching. He loves his dumpster diving far too much and he is in over his head. Too bad Pohlad does nothing to make things better.

What I wouldn't give, if Gibson makes it through Spring Training still healthy, and can contribute to this team, as a starter.

All this injury history makes me nervous. I hope Gibson is past all this stuff and turns into a reliable starter. I'd take a solid #3 guy in a good rotation. Of course, if he's that, then he will be the ace of our staff.

He's got stiff competition in Deduno, Devries, and some of the other power pitchers the Twins have. LOL

I wish the kid all the best, but until ownership makes a commitment to winning, and not just winning 90 games and losing in the first round of the playoffs. I mean winning the World Series I am going to chose to spend my time and money on other entertainment options.

floridascott: Why are you reading this article if you aren't going to follow the Twins until they win the World Series? It's really too bad you won't follow a team until they win it all because the run is the fun part. Once they win it, it's over. I watched this team win it twice and had a blast both times. Every team loses. It's all part of sports. If you can't handle a couple losing seasons you should maybe take in a movie or go fishing. It might be easier on your fragile psyche.

readmylips: your reading comprehension is very poor. I said until ownership makes a COMMITMENT to win a World Series I will look for better entertainment options...... If you want to gladly line the pockets of the Pohlads as they continue to print cash from their new stadium that you and I paid for than that your choice. Its a free country.

"wish the kid all the best, but until ownership makes a commitment to winning, and not just winning 90 games and losing in the first round of the playoffs" Still with this? You get to the playoffs and you have a chance of winning. The 87 team wasn't built to win a championship. Neither was the 91 team. They had no better shot than the Twins teams of the 2000's. They just beat the odds. Teams back then had a better chance if they made the playoffs because there were fewer teams that did it. Still the Twins back then were 2 for two which beat the odds in a big way. Now they have 8 teams so the 0 for 6 is disappointing but hardly statistically surprising. Give me a 90 win team anyday.

Get to the playoffs and you have a chance of winning? Let's back up. Today, if you are .500 at the break you can load up and make the post-season. Then, like you say, it's anyone's game. Seems that a lot of folks here haven't quite figured out the landscape has changed dramatically.
