What a great attitude Toby has. Many pro athletes could learn something from him!

Last week Peterson had 27 carries and Gerhardt had zero. What gives? The vikings are doing this guy no favor, when it comes up for his next contract. If he made a peep about lack of carries the media would jump on him and ride him out of town. Chester Taylor got about 8 carries a game the 3 years he played behind Peterson. If I was Toby I would be looking for the first ticket out of here. Remember, ALL running backs hit the wall when they turn 30. Peterson will be no different..

Part of me hopes the Vikings trade him next season just so they get something instead of letting him walk away for nothing. Another part of me wants to see him hit free agency so he can choose where he goes next. I wish him the best as long as he doesn't end up back in the NFC North.

Just a couple of thoughts... Bud Grant always said to take the best athlete available in the draft. Gerhart was that guy. Second, I would love to see Harvin and Wright split out wide and Gehart and Peterson together in the backfield. Now start thinking like a defensive coordinator and what would you do? But instead of using all our weapons like most NFL teams do, we kind of put one in here and there and... well, you know.

Is this any surprise. Toby is simply not that good and when he does get carries, he invariably fumbles. So, of course Adrian will get all of the carries. Simple logic.

Not that good when he gets the carries? You can't be serious. He's a grinder. He isn't going to come in and bust a 20 yard run on one of his 3 carries. However when he get's double digit carries he averages almost 4.6 yards per carry. That average would put him ahead of Ray Rice and LeSean McCoy this year. The SF game aside (I agree he was terrible) this guy would make a fine feature back. His hands are also decent. I bet Mike Tomlin would welcome him to the Steelers in a heartbeat. Or he would make a fine addition in Indy paired with Andrew Luck again. AND as a bonus he's a great locker room guy

And Toby Gerhart just fumbled the ball again...

Wasted 2nd round pick, nothing against Toby, but when you have AD you could of got his back up in the later rounds. Good luck kid :)

It all pays the same without the wear and tear. I would be smiling too. At this rate maybe he can play ten years without serious injury. He'll be smiling all the way to the back.

I hope that he resigns with the Vikings.
