If this is the worst of your worries, you are doing better than most! Many people clear their emails. I do, I clear my in, sent, deleted and even the recovery box. Some people just like it that way. If you are having an issue, there is maybe something wrong with your expectations.

A good boyfriend would save all of her emails, if for no other reason than she wants him to. The secret to a good relationship is for the man to change as much as he can to make his lady feel comfortable, chivalry as from the knights of old. Women have emotional needs that they need not explain or justify. Men just need to divine what they are and be supportive.
