If MGM decided this needed to be re-made, no wonder they're having money troubles.

The still photo in the title would be really funny if the kid in the middle were texting while the other two look all rebel-y.

The first Red Dawn sucked so why did they think the 2nd coming wouldn't?

When I thought that the villains in this remake were the Chinese, it just looked like a laughably bad movie. Finding out that the filmmakers expect us to pretend that the North Koreans could take over the whole U.S. makes it too pathetic and sad to enjoy laughing at it. I can suspend disbelief to a point, but if you're going to be that ludicrously unbelievable, you might as well go full crazy and have the Kim Jong Il puppet from "Team America: World Police" make an appearance.

Forget this joke of a movie. My question is to ask if anybody in Hollywood has any original ideas? And TV is worse... next season, a new cop show, hospital show, sitcom with five people totally unrelated living together, and wait, something else original, another cop show. Oh wait I said that already. I haven't been to a movie in 20 years. Honestly, I don't think there has been a movie made in that time that I honestly wanted to see. This is all just more of the dumbing down of America.

Okay I have to know if the writer actually saw the movie. If you actually watch the movie and pay attention, it is never actually said that North Korea invades the entire United States. North Korea was responsible for securing the Upper Northwest i.e. Oregon and Seattle. Russia and a few other military forces had taken the East Coast and the West Coast but the majority of the Central United States is still free. I saw it yesterday and I enjoyed it. Yes some of the dialogue is a little corny but it has some good action scenes.
