Then why did 439,000, the most in 2 years, apply for unemployment last week?
theagonybho - You stole my comment. It's funny what is selected and what isn't when it comes to the unemployment numbers. There was an increase of 78,000 unemployment claims last week and it was not reported. But when bogus numbers are reported right before the election dropping the rate to 7.8 it could not be reported enough.
Make-believe spin from the job killers. Wait till the Twinkie-makers and all the rest of the layoffs announced this week hit the streets.
Go over the fiscal cliff, cut even more off of unemployment eligiblility and we can watch official unemployment numbers plummet in February! But the number of people without a job will still be higher than what is being reported here.
Its great news if its true. However I have my doubts.
Handing out millions of work permits to criminal undocumented workers must really be helping unemployed Americans find jobs!
Stay tuned for next week's completely contradictory reports.
Responsible Republican governors like Scott Walker are leading their states to prosperity despite the dead weight of the Northeast and West holding down the country. 32% of the nations welfare dollars go to California alone. I say we sell that state back to Mexico, we'll be way ahead.
Why not write unemployment rises in 25% of all States?
All this improvement with the unemployment rate is Obama's fault..
