Until Best Buy makes pricing changes, they will continue to decline. They are relying on the ignorant consumer, which there are fewer of every day. Case in point... i walked in BB last week to find an HDMI connctor. They wanted me to pay $24. I ended up purchasing on EBAY for $1.49. Next time i will not even try to find something there.

Best Buy just hired a new CFO and gave her a signing bonus over 4 million dollars. Although not to unusual I have a problem supporting a company that is losing so much money and hires someone for that amount.

Anybody else notice Best Buy's website was down all day yesterday? The holiday season will either be a windfall or a harbinger of doom for this company. A LOT of people will not come back after last year's debacle. It will be interesting what they're numbers look like after the holidays.

Does "retraining" their employees mean I won't get harassed the second I step in the door and won't experience high pressure sales to buy accessories I don't need? If so, might go back. When I say no to something, that means exactly that. I don't need to hear it more than once. Buying online is much easier, you not only get a better price, you don't have to deal with the salesman.

They need to private label cables, connectors, etc and other commodity type items so they can lower the shelf cost to consumers. Also, the Best Buy on every corner strategy didn't make sense to me. I've seen one off stores in areas I wouldn't consider "High Traffic" areas. They also need to adopt an easier "order at the store, deliver to your door." sales strategy. Maximize the use of their warehouses as fulfillment centers which could provide fast ground delivery. Used open box items could be sent out to the stores as an outlet so anything sitting in warehouse is New. And, last someone has to act as visionary and look at the consumer product trends that are a year out and work with Mfgs to bring items to market a few months earlier than general release.

Why did Best Buy close the Uptown location? Now you need a car to even get to a Best Buy, which can't be good for their overall consumer potential.

If the remodel of the Richfield store is an indication of what's to come for BBY, I'm pretty sure I won't be a customer in the future. No registers, just a large customer service area where you wait in line with people making returns, exchanges, and arguing with managers. I want to give you money... not stand in line with all your angry or dissatisfied customers.

Sounds like less than how much the new and or old execs gave themselves in bonuses for not quitting before they did, or for signing up.

Just seen the news and a genius from the Carlson School stated, "Best Buy doesn't need to chase online buyers?! Think about it if you can buy online you have credit which means you have purchasing power. It's goof balls like this that doom Best Buy! I agree with other posts until they bring the cost down on their cables, connectors and cables they are toast! The problem solely lies in products. Amazon, Walmart, Target all sell so much more than electronics whereas Best Buy is so limited in it's products. Best Buy needs to expands and sell other goods other than electronics, wake up!

Not surprising considering the horrible customer service at the richfield HQ store I had to ask for someone to help the four of us waiting in check out line and got the I am crazy look however that wouldn't have been so bad if not for the cashier that checked someone out and then walked awayfrom the register as I was standing in line on top of that I tried to tell someone and was told to call customer relation line. Been to 4 stores today best buy worst customer service
