It looks like Hamas is getting tired of Israel batting 800 against all the missles the islamists are throwing against it. With Iron Shield, Hamas is looking pretty bad when Israel lets harmless missles fall in the wilderness, and stops most of those that are inbound to populated spots.

Why doesn't she talk to the Hama's leaders since they are the ones responsible for launching rockets almost daily at Israel? I'm sure Israel would be glad to stop if Hamas would.

From what I understand is that we send an immense amount of foreign aid to Israel. Also I understand Israelis have universal free medical care. Added, when we suggest ideas for ending the conflict, they, in essense, tell us to pound sand. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. How about letting all of the arab states and Israel go about killing each other, and when they are done, we can offer to help the survivors.

Lets see.... Iron Dome works, Iran is definitely supplying Hamas with weapons, Iran definitely wants to destroy Israel, The US aided Iraq is now siding against Israel. The picture has become much clearer for Israel now hasn't it.

nothing will change there until Israel agrees to a "plausible defense" - i.e. retreat to '67 borders and the Pals accept a Jewish state, as part of a two-date solution. the settlements however, in the eyes of the world remains the most salient obstacle to any progress. tedious.

This part of the world will never live in peace. We've tried again and again to mediate a peaceful resolution to their problems, and it doesn't work. I think it's time to let them do what they want to do...destroy each other.

I think it is too little, too late for Clinton/Obama admin to do anything but claim the scalps of the dead. Their lack of leadership for almost 4 years had led to nothing be expansion of extremism through out the world, the exploitation, poor treatment and killing of the poor and women and the nuclear arming of Iran. They have also started class and race warfare in the US. How 50.8% of the American people voted for 4 more years of the economy in the toilet and the world shift to anarchy is beyond me...and 49.2% (a.k.a. the thinking portion) of voters.

If Israel is serious about achieving peace she must first start giving the people of Palestine the basic human rights. A people continually held down eventually starts resenting and then they do fight back with what they have. Israel has a very strict embargo on Gaza. Impossible to even get certain medicines and foods there. I hear they finally let loose some candy but can't prove that. It is shameful!

Why does the US care? Friends and allies? Bull - When was the last time an Israeli soldier stood next to a US soldier and shed blood with us? Not in Afghanistan, not in Iraq 1 or Iraq 2, not in Vietnam - not even against mighty Grenada.
