Good test for the Gophs. Came out flat and they're not good enough for that. Our offense mostly comes off our defense, and we don't have a lot of great ball handlers...nearly 20 turnovers way too many. Interesting to see how Tubby shortened the bench quite a bit, especially since the only "sub" who seemed to play inspired was Mbakwe. And I doubt he'll be a sub for much longer. I live 15 minutes from Duke and UNC and would love to drill the Dukies this week!

Why no boxscore? What kind of journalism is that?

Isn't this pretty much the same Richmond team that lost to Kansas (77-57) in the Sweet Sixteen last year?

15 point win is not "slipping by". That is a good win. Gophers have one of the toughest non-conf schedule in the country.

Unfortunately, Tubby only has an offense when there's chaos. He can't organize a half court offense to save his life. Looks like he can recruit and they will win some games in spite of him.

Maybe it was the test they needed before the Thanksgiving day game against Duke. But please reduce the turnovers.

"Isn't this pretty much the same Richmond team that lost to Kansas (77-57) in the Sweet Sixteen last year?" --------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, so a ranked Kansas team beat them 77-57, and we just beat the same team that didn't lose anyone of significance 72-57. I will take that as a sign that the Gophers are as good as a ranked team right now.

The Gophers needed a tough game like this prior to playing Duke. Richmond is a good team that made it to the sweet sixteen last year and didn't lose anybody. Their man-to-man defense was EXCELLENT. They were on us the entire first half and half of the second half like flies on doo-doo. I don't like all the turnovers, but you can credit Richmond for most of them, and poor execution by the Gophers for the others. Markdanderso is right. Let's try to start cutting down on the turnovers guys.

Love the defensive effort, and getting a 15 point win despite 19 TOs, which will subside once we figure out how to blend in the bigs.

The gophers have no "go to guy" who can score. Rodney still cannot shoot and Joe can not play in the paint with the d-1 teams.
