Alabama pays it's college football coach 5 million dollars a year, the most in the country, and has won 2 national championships during the time that Cordova has sat in ruins. Why are they waiting for states like Minnesota, who every year give more to the federal government than they get back, to fix Cordova? Classic red state. Lots of talk about self-reliance, blow all their money on things they don't need, and look to the blue states to bail them out.

"Lots of talk about self-reliance, blow all their money on things they don't need, and look to the blue states to bail them out."...Or, maybe FEMA is even worse under the obama administration than it was under the Bush administration (see results along the east coast following Sandy). Not suprising.
