This is a shout out to the so called Gopher fans posting last night, I can't believe this mediocre team was able to beat the Badgers. We were very lucky tonight and should have lost. Savor this win because there probably won't be too many more this year. By the way when the Gophs are playing in the Frozen Four this year do a favor to the rest of us true Gopher Fans and put on a Sue or Bucky jersey and go watch golf that day.

Where are all of the naysayers? A tie last night and the sky is falling. What do you all have to say now?

The wisconsin hockey program is in shambles. It's a shame they tried the nodak route and goone hockey down to that level. If you can't compete sign guys that and to hold, grab, slash, cheap shot (the refs will only call 20% on these clowns, und & wisc). It's like that phrase, if you're not cheating, you're not trying. My take on that is if you are not good enough to compete on a level playing field, then resort to cheating!

Congratulations on playing up to expectations against a non-contender. Amazing how the gophs fans can go from expecting the NC to be engraved in October to hating the coaches and team after a loss and then to claiming the NC the next day after a victory...over a non-contender! Same thing with how magnificent the gophs PP is! All season the gophs' inferior PP stats have been noted by the media and knowledgeable hockey fans. then after two games (MSUM and AA),they are world beaters! Well, after the WI series (1/10), the gophs are right back on track of mediocrity. 25% PP (13/52....11/40, WCHA) must be the expectation for every game to be considered magnificent. The dramatic impact of two games shouldn't be grounds to think the gophs' PP problems are cured! Out of 8 games, the gophs have only won four games! Denver is rightfully claiming to be the best of the WCHA by winning, not by crying entitlement. So, while the gophs may not be as bad as their record indicates, and Bjugstad may not be holding his stick as tight as he should be, perhaps they are not yet worthy of the MacNaughton Cup, let alone the NC, either. Stop consistently losing to(and tying) non-contenders and maybe the gophs will begin to earn the respect of all its fans. As it appears now, the goph fan confidence base is VERY weak. going to Vermont is doing nothing to the general expectation of sweeping yet another non-contender (a team that has only won one game) verses the #3 team in the nation with its top PP team!

Funny how some think the posters here represent all gopher fans. I'm feeling pretty good. This team can play better, yet they're not losing. The idea is to peak in March. We have a long time until then. Gonna be fun to watch. Oh yeah, and what was the concern coming into the year? Goalie? I think we have a pretty good one.
