Good move for 1500ESPN. I never thought he was all that interesting to listen to.

He always seemed so arrogant. Won't be missed by me.

He seems the type who will probably somehow make it to the KQRS morning show.

I disagree, between listening to KFAN and Paul Allen or 1500 during that time slot I had grown fond of the show over the last year. Although, that was when KFAN started talking way to much hockey for my liking which is what caused me to change the dial to begin with. The lockout has helped that.

Never listened to 1500 but I liked him on kfan. At least kfan can talk about other events besides sports, that is part of what has made it listenable through the years. There is only so much that can be said about the last game or the next game. Certainly not full days worth of material.

Sounds like he just had enough of the banality of sports talk radio...can't blame him for that. How these guys deal with listening to the opinion of some arm-chair quarterback calling in from Scandia is beyond me.

I rarely listen to the station since it went ESPN. I'll tune in sometimes for Patrick and Joe but the rest is boring. Spoiled by the past couple decades of listening before the change.

Jeff Dubay is available.

elmi0001Nov. 16, 12 3:47 PM

Call up Dubay! I liked Phunn with KFAN but never switched over to 1500. I might if Dubay goes there.

Joe seems like a good guy but his sports knowledge and radio skills were pretty lacking. I remember when it was just the "Phunn" show by himself....he sounded like a monkey turned loose in the band room. lol. The guy could make a good fill-in type or as a producer/sidekick type byt he should never be a host or co-host.
