Derrick Williams isn't doing enough to help a team in desperate need of scoring.

Every single NBA team would have taken Williams at the number two pick in the draft. So you cant blame the T-Wolves coach and management. Ditto for Wesley and his slot. Just bad luck for the Wolves thus far.

Not every #2 draft pick is an instant success. We're still waiting for Darko to explode. lol. I'll admit I was a big supporter of the pick, but it's his big chance to shine, and he's blowing it. The fact we had to go get Howard speaks volumes to the impact Williams has had on the Wolves. He repeatedly misses layup after layup. There's no excuse for that. Get with it, Derrick. You're losing alot of support.

Good article. I like D-Will and I want him to do well, but more time is needed to determine his effectiveness. He is getting his chances, but there's an incredible amount of pressure on him to produce. Let's not give up on him..yet.

Another Souhan column I agree completely with. D-Will seems to think that all he needs to do is get close to the rim and he's done. He cannot finish. And he seems to need to gather himself to leap, as opposed to going up quickly, which allows defenders time to block his shot. Now everyone should understand why they went so hard after Batum.

The current T'wolves have greater needs than an underperforming PF/SF. DWill is a decent player...might even be great someday...but if you can't pick up your game when your team is down ~6 players with a great coach, maybe you don't care enough. If it's at all possible, please trade him for a reliable SG.

Let's trade Williams and get back Wesley Johnson's knees from Phoenix for the medical procedure that will cure Brandon Roy. Then let's trade Alexey Shved's discarded locks for the office chair wheels that will replace Barea's s sprained feet so Pek can push JJ around like a rocket-powered grocery cart.

That's an excellent idea. Are you a general manager?

The 2nd player in the draft is 3rd string behind Love & Cunningham. He's started some games strictly on the basis of where he was drafted. Unfortunately he's a tweener - too small to play & defend power forwards and not quick enough to guard small forwards. Kahn's draft picks have been abysmal. He owes his job to Adelman who directed him him to trade for players that fit his system.

I watched the other night and was totally surprised to see how bad his hands were. He constantly was fumbling around, especially on the inside and the give and go plays. Lack of focus? I thought this article was fair, and I think the comments are fair as well in that, he may develop and he is worth the gamble. But there is only one person who can help Williams now. Guess who?
