Ohio State would be part of the national championship discussion, but its postseason ban squelched that dream.

"It's just a shame that we'll never know if the Buckeyes are, too."--------As a Buckeye fan, I can already tell you: NO. The Buckeyes are a great team this year, and they have fought through some major issues, particularly at Running Back (Jordan Hall injured almost all season), Wide Receivers (they have none, except maybe Smith), and saddest of all, Linebacker, where they were hurting so bad they had to convert their starting fullback into a linebacker. However, just in watching the rest of the top ten over this season, I would say sixth is about as far as the Buckeyes should go. They are a year away from being on top of the heap. They are improving their speed and agility, but they are not yet fast enough, flexible enough, or deep enough to be a true national champion. However, for 2013? Let's talk.
