Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, New York, North Carolina and South Carolina.---Close the base schools so they must enroll in Al, Ga, KY, N and S. Carolina!!!!! Oh, no!!! Current children of the military deserve better than that. How about giving back the food service which is run by a for-profit Halliburton! The military was doing that cheaper and better than Halliburton.

Yup, those states have already all petitioned to secede. Apparently, they don't want anything to do with the Federal Government anyway, so close it all down and let 'em figure it out for themselves.

$68 billion over 10 years is $6.8 billion per year. That is less than one percent of the DOD budget. Let me know when a politician figures out how to balance the budget.

Though I may take issue with the Senator's polical policy beliefs, I have to say I have respect for him. He is consistent, and he is one of the few Republicans who will actually bring up DOD cuts. Squabbling over the details is inevitable, but the idea that absolutely everything should be on the table when it comes to cutting the federal deficit is the right one.
