Barbour added, "An attack unanswered is an attack admitted to." Had the criticism been shown to be false or unfair, the results might have been better.... And there it is in a nutshell. Romney IS a vulture capitalist who doesn't care about people like you, ships jobs overseas, is a quintessential plutocrat and is married to a known equestrian.

Some many conflicting excuses. Here it is... people don't agree with conservatism, Romney was a bad candidate because he contradicted himself regularly and you shouldn't win if you can't offer specifics about your "plan". Not "gifts" and lets not forget all the "gifts" that Romney promised the wealthy, businesses and the military. The fact that Romney received so many votes suggests to me that "policies" was not the main focus of many voters.

"They spent all their time making Mitt Romney unacceptable and making him out to be someone who was untrustworthy and unacceptable to enough of the American people " .... Romney did that all by himself with his constantly changing positions. Recall that Santorum called him a "well oiled weathervane". And as for being labeled a "vulture capitalist" , his opponents in the Republican primary were also hammering on that one. Newt was especially vocal about it. Romney got the nomination because of the "tsunami of sleaze" (as one article labeled it) he unleashed against all of his Republican opponents. The Republican primary debates laid the groundwork yet Republican's are still in too much denial to see the truth.

The groups that voted against Romney voted because of the GOP's policies and Romney's switch and bait answers. Their policies are detrimental to all the groups who voted against him. They won't change their policies so they won't get anything but old, white men.
