1) According to the Republicans, the country is doomed by debt... 2) The three ways you lower government debt is to collect additional money from the taxpayers; spend less taxpayer money; and steal money - like from the wage-earners trust funds... 3) The two major taxpayer operating budget costs are Defense at 50% of the operating budget and Health at 30% of the operating budget... 4) The Republicans will not lower defense spending or increase revenue.... Thus, if debt is to be reduced, only spending cuts in the non-defense operating budget, and stealing, remain.... For a balanced operating budget, we need to cut almost 40% of the operating budget... So the only way the GOP and Bohner's plan for a balanced budget can work is to cut ALL of Bush's newly added Medicare taxpayer-paid plan in Health and HALF of every US government department budget, except Defense; or steal from the trusts... Not realistic. Defense has to be on the table for ANY numbers to work.
