This is appalling! She was miscarrying and asked to be induced. They wouldn't do it and they waited until the fetus was dead and caused the death of the mother. Unconscionable!!
The Irish are so Pro-Life that their Pro-Life laws ended in the unnecessary death of the mother. This is an example of when Pro-Life turns to Pro-Death.
Nice going, "pro-life" people! So instead of saving a life, you lost one. And for what? The baby was dying anyway. When you get to the point where the only life you value is the unborn, you've lost your right to claim that you're "pro-life". Oh, and have you thought about all those lost lives of the babies this woman might have had in the future. You killed them, too! It's idiotic!
A very stark reminder of what could have come to hospitals near you if the likes of Akin, Murdock and Ryan would have had their way last week. It's despicable to see this happen in the year 2012 and it is painful beyond description to read this story, knowing her death could have been prevented so easily. This madness must stop.
These are the kinds of things that happen when religion dictates public policy.
