I agree the basketball facilities are not much of a plus when it comes to recruiting. I think the star basketball alumni could make an effort to sell gifted recruits. In the words of Mel Taube, our old Carleton coach used to say:" the alumni has to grow me a big center."

The new AD should contact some of the old players like Kevin Mc and Company and get our Professionals to chip in and build a new basketball center. That will really help get a better class of BB player. Hopefully with a new building Tubby will be able to get a few 4 and 5 star recruites.

I compared this list to the one I saw in the Champaign-Urbana News_gazette this morning, for expected Illini signers, and it's plain to see why the Gophers will never be anything but a middle of the Big Ten team, and that's in their good years.
