I didn't find much to admire in this man until now. A gracious response to loss.

If only his graciousness continues in Congress. He was the maker of the GOP budget and that doesn't go over well in the nation. Grandma's don't want to run around for vouchers to get Medicare. And, they are not interested in their grandchildren not having the Medicare (which they are paying in to support) when they retire.

Mr Ryan's credibility went way up in my book. Maybe winning at all costs is not worth the personal loss? Tea party take notice.

This man has more class in his little finger than the entire obama administration has combined. It's a shame his ticket did not win the presidency.

drfrankt: Why? He he came up with a budget plan that would slash programs that neither he, nor his family will ever need because they are extreemely wealthy. His budget would have been another massive giveaway to the rich, and corporate America, with no thought of any cuts to the military. That's classy??

He still scares me but I respect his comments on losing.

"The polling and other data and all the smart people watching the election gave Rep. Paul Ryan an optimistic view on the night of last week's election." No, the smart people like Nate Silver were predicting an Obama victory. Romney was listening to the Republican echo chamber and heard only what he wanted to hear. This is a good illustration of why Romney wouldn't have been a good President.

What!!!??? Somehow these comments make him likeable? Please tell me what else was there for him to say? Oh I suppose he could have asked for a recount or something..

I wish he would be as pragmatic with his budgets. Kudos to him for his response to losing the VP election. He still has a future.

Maybe Romney lost on account of Ryan.
