Um, with all due respect, sir, I think you are wrong. Sounds like the court has a pretty shrewd guess as to the character of the Real Jeff Bennett.

""Everyone, it seems, has done Mr. Bennett wrong," Schiltz said" -- which might explain Mr. Bennett's long history (since his "late teens") of crime. Everyone, therefore, deserved what he gave them, hence, he's committed no crime.
