THIS is what we're worried about nowadays? How is a pair of leggings any different from a tight pair of jeans? They both form to the body. How about cracking down on the kids who have the waistband of their jeans below their butt cheeks with their underwear completely exposed? IF short shirts are the problem, then ban midriff exposing tops. But to tell girls they should think twice about wearing leggings is absolutely ridiculous!

Ah, the always vexing battle of how to get teenage boys to not be distracted by females. Keep blaming it on the girls!

All public schools should have a uniform. What's distracting is all of it. And in the new world of not hurting anyone's feelings or offending anyone, everyone should be wearing the same thing. Black pants, red shirt or whatever.

I'm with you Principal Adney! It's ridiculous & disgusting the way students dress, both sexes. They are belittling themselves and they are definitely not cute. It's all so not necessary. Hang in there.

Uniforms in all public schools would solve a lot of problems.

I suppose the principal will get backlash from parents who feel they're daughter's rights are being squashed. I tend to agree with him though - the stuff I see girls (young girls!) wearing at the mall amazes me. It'd be nice in general to teach our girls appropriate ways to dress. I love the uniform idea - everybody is on the same playing field.

To me a few years ago this would have been an issue but I have been told my conservative ideas are out of date.

I find it shocking how some parents dress their teens these days, some look like Brittney Spears clones, or worse yet Pole Dancers. I am 58 years old I remember how boys were and some girls, new hormones turning once sane children, into human trout attempting to spawn up any river they could find. Please do not make the problem anymore difficult as it is to be a teenager.
