by: Minnesota has recorded its twelfth case in a national outbreak of fungal infections linked to tainted steroids from a Massachusetts pharmacy. The new patient is a male in his 50s, the state Department of Health said Tuesday. The agency said the patient has survived, but released no other information about the case. So far, 11 of the Minnesota patients contracted fungal meningitis and one developed a related fungal bone/joint disease. None of the Minnesota patients has died.
