US stocks decline in uneven trading; Greece jitters and fiscal worries keep traders on edge

U.S. stocks closed lower after uneven trading Tuesday as fears about the "fiscal cliff" and Greece tipped major indexes between gains and losses. A surge in Home Depot's stock prevented a steeper drop for the Dow Jones industrial average.

Right now, the Wall Street people are like a football team with only 9 players against the oncoming terrible news that has all 11 players. It appears that this will continue for a long time and the stocks may fall way down to the 10,000 point level. People have run out of money and that means little spending. And with our Federal Reserve throwing in $40 billion dollars month after month, no wonder no person can get a handle on the giant problems. Note, no one uses "Challenges" anymore. All of you can think that one through.
