The Gophers' MarQueis Gray never became the elite Big Ten QB he'd hoped, but his attitude is always team-first.

Always liked this young man, hope he gets a shot at the next level - no matter what he does I suspect he will succeed.

This is the type of player that the Alumni should look after when he graduates. When we recruit players, the family of the player should know that their child will have an edge in post college employment opportunities.

Gray has always presented himself as a team player and with class. I wish him the very best as he moves forward.

Ski U Mah, MarQueis! I'll always remember last year's Iowa game and wish you the best in what ever you do after the U.

mobydick1 is so right. MN and Northwestern enjoy the only true major metro areas in the B1G conference. Our business community needs to provide the in-school and post-school opportunities to recruits who come to play for the Gophers. I hope our coaching staff and business leaders are taking full advantage of this. You can be sure OSU, MI, PS and NB use employment opportunities to enhance their recruiting.

One of the classiest Gopher athletes ever. Very proud of him representing the university and state.

The hard thing to accept, is that the Gophers staff did not keep him in the position as a receiver, that is were he would have would have made the most impact. Any team with a running quarterback, just does not win many games. Look at RG3 with the Redskins - are they winning a lot of games? Is Michigan winning many games? I hope that Gray can somehow make it in the NFL - he is quick, fast and knows how to play the game.

Very good article, Chip. MarQueis is a gifted athlete with a lot of character and class. In tough game situations, I always observe his positive attitude in supporting teammates and encouraging whoever has assumed the quarterback position.
