Gaborik's disappearing act is a big playoff predicament

Marian Gaborik should have been the best player on the ice in this game, and in this series. He has been so gawd-awful sometimes you can't tell him and Eric Belanger apart.

I rarely read your column, and this is another example of why. Simon didn't take any penalties in game 4, nor was he a factor in the loss. I also seriouly doubt you have better ideas about how to coach the team than Lemaire. I can only hope you will be wrong about the game 5 winner taking the series. Why don't you stick to covering basketball and golf.

I disagree, the thing everyone said at the deadline was we were one injury away from being in trouble, our defense got hurt and we cant score goals. I like Simon, but there is a difference between not doing anything wrong and helping your team win.

You're only half-right, "BurnsyFan." Simon wasn't a factor in the loss Tuesday night, nor has he been whatsoever. Why don't YOU stick to writing half-truths?

Wow - Best buddy lives in Colorado - heard it from him. He said it best - Theodore stole the game tonight. No matter what...we dominated but don't have the "finish" in the scorers. Gabby can't do it by himself I agree but we don't have a bunch of options. Where is the blame? I think we are season ready but not playoff ready. Burns is our best threat (along with Koivu). I love the Wild. We just might need to readjust next year in free agency. Don't need any more "tough guys" just more people to bury the puck. Gabby - get him back and get him help!

Gaborik is being paid to be the "go to", marque guy on the Wild, yet he can't be depended upon to bring his A or even B game to the rink regular basis. This team will never advance past the first round until they either get rid of Gabby or get additioal, more dependable talent and relegate him to a minor role. At the present time, he is not coming close to earning his mega-buck salary and I doubt that he would bring much value in a trade.

The Wild better find a new tactic if they want to advance in a Stanley Cup series. Good night Wild, see you next year.

...so let's do it again. There has to be a point where a goalie can no longer stop 50 shots a game. Maybe it'll come while we're still able to take advantage.

adding Simon made no sense for a team lacking scoring depth. Simon has had NO major impact...meanwhile, we are still struggling to score goal. Nice addition Riseborough!!! As I said before...the Wild have no chance in this series if Gaborik doesn't get in the scoring mix. He's got one more game...or maybe two to help the cause.

Gaborik is not a gamer, he cannot carry a team on his shoulders...he whines way too much, and shows his girly emotions about his coach way too often...and then he pouts! His buddy Demitra has been a bust since he came here, and played his last game on X ice this evening...he's gone...therefore, Gaborik is gone in one year...so the new owner should just trade Gaborik in the off season, and get what you can...and then they can start the rebuilding process around Burns, Koivu, Pouliot, Schultz...hopefully they reward Rolston....etc.. but Skoula can go......go where who cares but just go...and seeing as Lemaire loves him so much...Lemaire can go with him.....It's obvious the game has long since past by Lemaire...time for the new owner to clean house...New front office mgmt...and new coaching...which will bring a new team philosophy....Talk is cheap and that is all we season ticket holders have received from this organization... is talk! It's over Sat night, and then it's time to start cleaning house...Start with Risbrough and Lemaire and then trade Gaborik....and go from there!
