A more accurate description would be "The Obama Sell-off". Investors are pulling out of the market because of who won last week's election. The "fiscal cliff" was still there 2 weeks ago when the market was climbing. The only thing that changed was peoples' expectations of where the US will be in 4 years after last week's election results.

moretaxesnow, Pretty accurate assessment, the cliff will not be fixed, my guess is everyone will fold and kick the can down the road 90 days, the old guard will leave and new guard will face the same issue. The Obama admin, the masters of gridlock will see alot but i expect he will do everything by executive order. Expect more taxes more regulation, a market sell off and unemployment rising in 2013.
