Target to open at 9:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving, joining other stores in earlier holiday shopping

NEW YORK - Target Corp. will open its doors at 9:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving, three hours earlier than a year ago, to kick off the holiday shopping season.

So... I guess it's no longer called "Black Friday" ? Maybe it can eventually be called, "Black Year" then everybody can get awesome deals all year long? This attempt at one upping the competition is getting pretty lame. Thanksgiving is a day of giving thanks with the family, not giving thanks for the fact Target and all the other stores are opening up on Thursday.... Shame Shame Shame..
