Minnesota slips in sending students to study abroad

The figure dropped with the economy, but hasn't rebounded as in other states. But St. Olaf is still at No. 1.

My guess is that most parents have come to the understanding that the French and Italian cultures have been studied enough. My daughter came up with a more cost effective solution, she is going to another US university for a semester to get more targeted courses in her major, and build relationships to get into grad school. One does not have to go on a European vacation to enhance one's education.
