I was always puzzled why Lakeville never produced a competitive business landscape. Maybe this guy can change things.

Lakeville has a very competitve business landscape. We have a large industrial park on the southern end. This guy will change it for the worse. A company wanting to locate is not going to take a city serious when they elect a 27 year old to run their city

Age is irrelevant when the candidate excels in people skills, hard work, problem solving, knowledge of the law, council experience, runs a clean campaign, knocks on literally thousands of doors, works to create a new building for senior citizens, listens to the needs of its citizens, and sincerely cares about the people of Lakeville.

Congrats and good luck from a LV resident. It must have been the political hair-do ;-)

i35split: "A company wanting to locate is not going to take a city serious when they elect a 27 year old to run their city"-----sounds like sour grapes. My company recently expanded to a city nearly the size of Lakeville (although not in MN), which has a mayor even younger than this guy. He has been a pleasure to deal with, and fully understands the dynamics of attracting business and industry to his community. I admit that we were taken aback, briefly. But after 10 minutes of conversation, it was clear the fellow knew what he was doing and was quite capable......in fact, more so than many city officials we have dealt with elsewhere many years his senior. I hope this guy is similar in caliber. If so- good for Lakeville.

27 is not a kid, geez. Good luck to him, sometimes it takes some new blood to shake up the old entrenched City guard that happends everywhere because of apathy.
