Amen to DrPoster. With the elections over and the results in, they will shift operations to states with a lower tax base to keep the price of their products as low as they can. Elections have consequences. Recall all that tax the wealthy pledges? Becareful what you wish for, for you just might get it.

This has nothing to do with the elections. This was planned long before the elections took place. The plant is simply old and out of date and Caterpillar doesn't want to put more money into the plant modernizing it. It is more economical for them to transfer this production to newer, more modern plants that already exist.

If you don't understand the part about unemployment--you have to understand, without an active capitalist environment field like rocket science end up being government jobs. Governments build missiles and that's it. Anyone can build a missile. End of story.

I'm not sure how any of you can say this is tied to the federal election. The jobs are being shifted to other states. You know, within the United States. It's not as if they're being treated like Sensata.

Don't worry Cat employees Klobuchar will give you all a call and direct you to government assistance. You may just be able to live comfortably for the rest of your life without ever working again.

Conservatives are so incerdibly small picture. I don't have to read the comments I already know. Two days after election results are in and Cat is closing plants based on the results. That's how business decisions are made. You have no clue how how much goes into a decision like this. So when we read about a busines expanding in the state, I assume you'll be attributing that to the election. Republicans are pathetic. You might want to get used to losing. Your future will have plenty of it.
