As campaigns go, this was a clean one

Romney and Obama never went out of bounds. In fact, on some topics, they never even came close.

I guess the writer is correct. Mr. Romney favored slavery and chains for blacks--as stated by Candidate Biden and never refuted by President Obama. This means Obama agreed. The campaign ran an ad that accused Romney of killing a woman who had cancer. This ad was also never refuted by the President. If these ads are true, then why would Obama compliment Romney after the election was done on Tuesday night? Makes no sense to be positive about someone who favors slavery or killing innocent people.

What? Romney was called a felon, a murderer, a robber baron, etc. He was called evil, uncaring and a tax cheat. The lies the Obama campaign flooded the airwaves with were universally called wrong, yet the ads continued. Yes some were super pac ads. But Obama never reputiated them. To call this a clean campaign is simply a flat out lie.

Ranger78 & Bluedevil: Site one instance of the OBAMA CAMPAIGN saying any of those things about Romney. You can't because it didn't. Others may have said stuff like that, kinda like when Sarah Palin was running around calling Obama a terrorist or when Bachmann said he was anti-american and a muslim. The ROMNEY CAMPAIGN didn't say those things, but his surrogates, his little helpers, did. Remember the birtherism accusations by Trump? Remember Romney disavowing Trump and his birther crap? NO? Well, that's right, you wouldn't remember it because it never happened. Romney kept his trap shut and shook Trumps' hand at every opportunity while he took his cash with the other. You cons really think you have ANY ground to stand on when accusing others of dirty politics? Karl Rove wrote the book on all that but boy, he really got his comeuppance THIS campaign. And serve him right. 340 BILLION dollars of other peoples money the guy spent and what's he got to show for it? Zip, Nada, Zilch.

Romney lied his way through the campaign - for example repeatedly saying that "Obama double the deficit" (Pants On Fire claim), that he'd given clean energy 90 billion (26 billion). That half of these projects went bankrupt (26 out of 1723 failed). That Obama would outsource Jeep jobs to China (outright lie). This man had no honor, no integrity, and his absence of character became more evident with each passing day. The country I love would never elect such a dishonorable man. Karma has manifested once again.

I am not sure that I was watching the same election process that Feldman was watching? So there was no fraud or financial improprieties; Does that mean he is asking Romney to now release his tax returns for 2009 even though it won't matter, so Romney can clear his name? You ask, why should Romney do this now? You may be right, and that is one of the reasons I didn't vote for him, but would have, if I didn't think he was telling us all the truth about his big business dealings with outsourcing. There was only one person who could clear this up. Guess who? As for controversy, if you say nothing specific about your plans, there will be no controversy, and when asked specific follow up questions, you change the subject (ala Bachmann 100% of the time) there is no controversy. I hope when the fiscal cliff talks are a done deal, and we have a bipartisan agreement, Obama and Romney go into a locked room and talk/hammer out a plan for campaign reform in this country.

Hey Crystalbay-the country would never elect such a dishonorable man? well, how about Bill Clinton, who if memory serves me correctly, admitted lying to us all. As far as this race being a clean one, the writer must missed all of Joe Bidens speeches (the guy is like Jimmy Carters brother, you try to only let him out in public once in a while so that he doesn't embarrass you, but he does) or he may have missed the TV interviews with David Plouffe.

The race piece of this election was most interesting. As an issue it simmered below the surface but neither candidate exploited this - the same cannot be said for some of the pundits. The republicans had little to offer to people of color and this party had better do some serious thinking about how to be more inclusive if they want to be around in a few years. Perhaps the white male crowd (of which I am one) needs to do some serious soul searching about the realities of a diverse society and their attitudes toward race and tolerance.

If this was clean, I'd hate to see dirty.

"This man had no honor, no integrity, and his absence of character became more evident with each passing day. The country I love would never elect such a dishonorable man."...Oh yes they would...obama was re-elected after 3.5 years of no honor, no integrity and absence of character with each passing day! I guess his support of those heavy hitters from hollywood celebrities and 60's radicals was all it took to sway the young uninformed voters, single mothers, union supporters and the unemployed to vote for 4 more years.
