Main problem with the "Affordable Care Act" (althought there are many): It does noting to actually make health care more affordable. This plan should be called the "Guaranteed Coverage For Expensive Care" Act.

You can pretend this isn't an unconstitutional act against the people of the nation, but that does not make it so. We will deal with your attack in the best way we can, and hope our representatives can end the illegal "tax" part of it. No american willeven need fear a government fine for failing to profit any private commercial interest. The ACA is legally unenforcable people.

It's ironic that the states that are unlikely to set up state-run health exchanges are mainly those run by Republicans. These are the same politicians who complained about Affordable Care Act as a government takeover of health care. Now because of their intransigence the exchanges in their states will be run by the Federal government rather than the state government. The expression "cut off your nose to spite your face" comes to mind.

Where in the bill does it reduce the cost of healthcare to taxpaying citizens? Seems to me taxpayers are gonna get strapped for providing health insurance to 30Million people! "More than 30 million uninsured people with most receiving government help to pay premiums".

dogparkdoo Nov. 8, 12 12:45 PM - You're already paying for them at a premium price. How you ask, through your taxes and current insurance premiums. Nothing is free including medical care and every time “those people” go to an emergency room, the most expensive type of medical care, and then don't pay, you have to pick up the bill. You can continue to have your head in the sand but that won't fix the problem. Will Obamacare fix the problem, not entirely, and that's why it needs to be properly amended and tweaked, over time but at least it's a start.

Just what exactly is the GOP's plan to reduce costs. They made sure medicaid could not negotiate prices to reduce costs. They want VOUCHERS to be used so you can find your own healthcare...how does that reduce costs?

"More than 30 million uninsured people with most receiving government help to pay premiums" - Adjust that number up, Corps, Small Biz are going to drop employer provided health insurance in droves. It's cheaper to pay the "penalty" tax than carry the coverage. Might as well just add another 5 million to the rolls on the "gov't system" with even less money coming in because those without health issues are going to drop traditional coverage and opt for the "emergency opt in".

the mobility the ACA will offer to people who are currently staying in their jobs only for the health care insurance will be translate into a huge economic boost for the country.

This plan should be called the "insurance complex profit and stranglehold in health costs" act.

When did you get appointed to the Supreme Court of the United States? Congratulations.
