While I love Chesney and his music, I was at the Target Field show last summer and will be very reluctant to go there again for a concert. Many reasons abound for my saying that, but #1 would be that if you are on the main floor anywhere near the stage as we were this past summer, good luck getting to and using a bathroom after the show starts, well...unless you want to miss about 1/4 of the set list, that is. Not to mention, we left with four songs remaining in the show just to even get on a LRT train and get home. Friends who stayed 'til the end said it was a nightmare afterwards. Sorry Kenny, but I'll wait until you come back to the X.
I think the Target Field ground crew just let out a collective 'ugh'.
No offense to Kenny Chesney fans, but shouldn't Target Field host a rock-n-roll, pop or hip-hop show next time? Or at least a different country act? Kind of a letdown of a concert announcement. The first year the Twins' ballpark opened it was rumored that Paul McCartney was going to perform there. I think Minnesotans who don't live in rural areas would rather see someone like Bruce Springstreen, Prince, Dave Matthews etc... Anything has to be better than the so-called baseball team currently playing at Target Field.
