Assad: No civil war in Syria; and army can crush rebels within weeks if flow of arms stops

Assad is an example of why family dynasties should never happen. Assad was never elected, never knew anything but power and greed, and has led with an iron fist. He never cared about the people of Syria and holds on to power in spite of the incredible damage he has done to his country. Assad may suffer the same fate as Ghaddafi, but more than likely will run when death gets closer to his door. Power and greed are terrible burdens to put on any people. Pray for the Syrians whom must deal with the sacrifices forced upon them by such a ruthless dictator that hasn't accomplished anything other then being the son of the former ruthless dictator.
