Former UnitedHealth CEO McGuire is new Stars owner

The former boss at UnitedHealth Group hopes to ''remove the uncertainty'' that has plagued the team while it was leagued-owned.

Good of McGuire to step up. Hopefully they can be transitioned into an MSL in the near future. The Twin Cities has a great soccer scene and is deserving of an MSL team. Also, it would be cool if someday the U of M could have a Men's D1 soccer team. If you are a real talent nowadays you have no options to play in state.

Does no one remember that this guy was forced out of United Health for back dating bonuses. I thought he should have been charged with a crime. He is being civic minded by spending his ill gotten gains. He can call his new team the Mcgreedies.

Bill Maguire has not had a medical license since 1989 when he left Colorado. He is NOT a "Dr." Please stop referring to Maguire as a physician.

The WSJ analyzed Maguires UHC stock purchases. He would be worth 24- 28 Million if the stock was not back-dated. Instead, he made 1..2 billion.
