Prolific U pass rusher Wilhite sees finish in sight

After enduring some lows in the U program, senior D.L. Wilhite is pursuing sack milestones on the field and multiple degrees off it.

I hope that the young man has a great game this Saturday in Memorial Stadium in Champaign, a beautiful and recently remodeled and enhanced facility in which I watched several games when our daughter was attending grad school there. Those games included a game a couple of years ago where Minnesota came in and beat the Illini on their own field and I was a Gopher supporter cheering in the midst of a sea of orange and blue and survived the afternoon. Great tailgating prior to games at Champaign as well!

I like DL, seems like a good, hard working kid. But prolific sack guy? Really? You simply can't use that term about any Gopher d lineman. Sorry, you just can't.
