Talk to any used car dealer, and they'll tell you that the best thing that ever happened to them was the 'cash for clunkers' program from OBama's first term. Took perfectly good used cars off the market, into the junk yards, thereby driving up the price of used cars, nationwide. The hangover from that particular bit of stupidity is still being felt by lower income folks who need cars. Just goes to show, the best intentions ...

Cash for clunkers also reduced pollution, improved gas mileage nationwide and supported the auto industry (people bought new cars). I think it was one of the programs that was almost too successful. People like thinking that they are getting money for nothing (and chicks for free).

I don't buy it. Most of these cars will be dried out and/or bodywork done on them, and sold to unsuspecting customers. So, no real shortage, just an excuse to raise prices. Artificial shortage. But, you may see your insurance premiums going up again. Population and immigration control is the answer to most of the problems that plague US and the rest of the world.

They also said gas prices would be going up too because of Sandy, but they are going down. Go figure.

Cash for clunkers was another lawless act by the administration. This is not within governments spending authority. I must say for someone looking for compromise and progressive actions, we've seen anything but from the current administration, more like attacks on americans and our rule of law. What were you people thinking the other day? Who will you run to when the finger starts pointing at you from the annointed ones? I won't be bailing you out that's for sure.

This administration is a joke. Cash for Clunkers followed up by the Health Care Reform Bill will play out as two of the biggest mistakes ever by a white house administration. As they say......be careful what you wish for.
