Wolves ragged yet resilient in victory over Magic

The Wolves struggled mightily, especially in the second quarter, but their stingy team defense kept them out of trouble and raised their record to 3-1.

Just think how good they'll be with Love and Rubio back. Deepest team in the league! Go Wolves.

This is so un-NBA-like. On a night when the T-wolves didn't play very well-individually-they come together as a team again and post a win. A few nights back in Brooklyn(nice arena, by the way) they go to the bench and have different players step up and get a win on the road--tough to do, and not their usual M.O. This league is highlighted by marquee players--people who take over and dominate a game. So far that hasn't been the case with the Wolves--it's been a team effort. How long can they keep it up? Can they do it til they get back their big two?

The next three games will tell the story, as they face Indiana, Chicago and Dallas. Are they for real? YES!!! Go Wolves!

great start to the season 3-1 is fantastic. This is proof of the coach getting players that can play within the system. The big white wisconsin kid would never have seen any minutes in Boston.

manolive: i agree, those next 3 games will be a good measuring stick. wolves are playing teams at the right time, when they also have key guys out. i just hope jj's injury isn't anything serious. the defense is great, the offense will come along. Roy will get his game legs and range back soon, and Shved is coming along faster than i thought he would. Steimsma is also doing much better than i thought he would. Cunningham-Ellington trade is looking like a solid steal at this point. It'll be a nice problem for Adelman to find minutes for all these guys once everyone is healthy.

It was obvious for years that the Wolves played terrible team defense, even when they sometimes had good individual defensive efforts from players like Corey Brewer or Anthony Tolliver. Yet developing that team defense, whether through coaching or bringing in the right players, never seemed a matter of any urgency to Wolves coaches or management...until Adelman arrived. What a difference a really good coach makes!

D-Will played a good overall game--in addition to points and rebounds, two steals and no turnovers.

great team defense.. someone gets by, someone else picks him up... what a concept.. as Reusse said yesterday, "Minneosta loves effort".. we do, we do!!
