"cutting education!!!!" Don't they care about kids?
Only about 10 layers to go.
It's a start - but they have a long ways to go. Perhaps they could do some layoffs, or as they called it several years ago, retrenchment.
$400,000 for a job that the "U" can do without...
Does Anyone else Cccc Excessive Salary and Perks for College Administrators....Huh,Huh????
Maybe the U can use some of the money they are saving and replace the crappy blackboards in Vincent hall with some late 20th century dry mark boards. I mean it is really embarrasing elementary schools have better in class room equipment than a leading academic institution.
About time. Almost all organizations and business are flattening now.
The University is a public institution, and because of that they must respond to every issue before the public.
The U's response to these issues is almost always to add comittees and later positions and offices to administer the committees. Over time this results in administrative bloat.
There has been no effective mechanism to trim this bloat. I applaud the present administration's attempts here. It is hard hard work. Thanks you for doing it. It will benefit the University and the state.
