So let's enforce Federal laws on States that say they want no part of the Federal (pot) but lets NOT enforce the Federal laws that States say they want (immigration). Here, lets move the DEA agents to the INS and your over-bloated don't know what to with your time DEA agents still have a job.

The extremely antiquated marjuana are just that: Extremely Antiquated. Read the history. William Randolph Hearst was the first to call for illegality, as he was trying to keep Mexicans out of CA. • Guess what? ...It Didn't Work! What the laws HAVE done is to put countless people in prison, drive enforcement costs beyond believability, and make a mockery out of "enforcement". Times change... Hang on!

Hey POT heads, take time to notice all the anti-smoking laws aimed at cigarettes and cigars. They still apply to your smoking habit too! Get used to not being allowed to smoke anywhere expect your own home, alone with no kids in a 50 yard radius. Then there will be the POT Tax! On Cigars we have a 70% tax in the fine state of Taxation. This law, if allowed to stand will just mean more revenue for the FEDS. Toke up and Pay up! Suckers!

"Then there will be the POT Tax! On Cigars we have a 70% tax in the fine state of Taxation. This law, if allowed to stand will just mean more revenue for the FEDS." -- That's kind of the idea. Paying a steep tax in exchange for legalization is a fair trade, especially when our black market vendors are already marking up the price as much as they want.

If pot is treated like tomatoes, one can choose to grow one's own tomatoes, or go to a store and purchase some tomatoes. Nobody wants the garbage that the cartels are bringing. This is a huge win for individual liberty and taxpayers. If you don't want to pay the taxes on store-bought weed, grow your own. A watershed moment.

Suckers!------your forgetting this little fact that while cigarettes have killed millions because of lung cancer. Marijuana has killed zero people because of lung cancer. And most smokers that I know will gladly pay a tax if that means they can use a product that is actually good for them. Suckers? Not so much.

Juggler, you do realize that even with extreme taxation it will still be cheaper than buying the black market. Canada taxed medicinal marijuana at 1400% and against still cheaper than black market.

I don't smoke but 100% agree it should be legal and taxed like crazy. It's no different than alcohol, and as such should be a revenue stream for the government. People who think it is somehow worse than alcohol don't understand it.

"Let's have six or eight beers - then we'll go get a pizza!" VS "Light one up! - Where's Domino's phone number?" - Happens both ways, thousands of times every day. Not that either are good, but which is less harmful to society?

Congratulations, WA & CO. You're on the vanguard - good luck with the DEA. We'll be watching. So, Minnesota. When are we going to come to our senses and end the war? First step - some courageous legislator needs to write a bill. There is no excuse for (at least) continuing to deny sick people a simple herb that's so helpful.
