Good, now let's investigate him for Tax Fraud and Tax Evasion and uncover all of his dirty little secrets. Why should the media or the Justice department back off Serious Allegations just because he lost? He made millions destroying companies and offering his political influence to the highest bidder. Who knows how many shady deals were made while on the campaign trail? If he broke the law, He should be prosecuted and "vigorously defending scurrilous accusations", not enjoying his retirement.
