Economy: Stock market crashing hard today and gas prices up in one day!
Wow half of the people in this country are socialist, sad day for America.
How many more trillions is Obama planning to spend to return the economy to the unemployment levels of the "failed policies of the past"??? Unemployment averaged 5% under Bush's second term. Bush walked into a recession, too, with the technology bubble bursting in 2000. Unemployment NEVER rose above 5% for a period of nearly 3 years under Bush. Adding back the MILLIONS of unemployed workers who dropped out of the workforce under Obama, the current unemployment rate would be near 11%. And that's with Obama's $5,000,000,000,000 (five trillion!) in borrowing and spending since he took office!
sad sad day
Got to hand it to this guy. Stock market tanks, investers move out of stock and into gov bonds, proviing this destroyer with even more cash to expand governemt with. heads he wins/tails we lose.
Coal companies are tanking because Obama will use the EPA to punish coal despite the fact that the US has 500 years of reserves to power our country.
Get ready for a loooooooooong recession. There is no incentive for companies to hire or spend money, small business to start, or any clear plan on growth. For those who have money in the bank or any type of disposable income, spending will slow because they're afraid of not having it when the government comes asking for it. Unemployment will continue and I foresee 3 years or more of recession. This election was decided by people voting with their hearts and not their brains and it's going to be painful.
Boeing just announced big layoffs in it's defense division. In a perfect world everyone of those let go would be a democrat.
Fixing roads and potholes is not going to fix the economy. What is the real plan?
Get ready for a long recession and extended unemployment. Those with cash in the bank or thinking about starting a new business have been greatly discouraged today. Massive uncertainty on the cost of doing business will keep the purse strings tight for nearly everyone. I'm a Republican but I think we tried to overreach in this election and it came back to bite us.
