It didn't take McConnell long to start in now did it? Let's hope there are some republicans in the house that decide it is time to work on that fiscal cliff coming up, and put America first and not Grover and Mitch.

Thanks to everyone that voted. America has spoken.

Good cartoon Sack. Slightly less than half of Americans don't have confidence that Barry can actually accomplish anything and wanted to fire him. Time to step up and turn the economy around.

Obviously it will be easier for his second term to be a "charm". He does not start in the midst of an economic disaster, we have job gains rather than losses, the financial and auto industries are healthy, and hopefully the Republicans in Congress have now learned that American voters expect them to work for the good of the country rather than just that of their party.

Now you know why we keep our sport team managers around forever and are ok with losing year after year. We expect and accept failure and don't hold people to their promise of success.

'....hopefully the Republicans in Congress have now learned that American voters expect them to work for the good of the country rather than just that of their party.....' The president has a very simple job. The president needs to provide the direction and leadership. Bring sides together, chart a course, etc. The president needs to OWN this. Time to stop blaming congress, that worked for you in this election but the election is over. Its time to put the focus on the quarterback.

" Its time to put the focus on the quarterback"-------- The quarterback guides his team, but the Republicans need to decide whether they are on the same team as he is, or whether they want to be the opponents. This must be a two-way street. They can't make derailing his re-election their priority any more, so maybe they can see their way clear to compromise.

jcrew45 - agree that the President needs to provide the direction and leadership durin this time. And, Congress needs to understand that their loyalties should be to the country and its citizens not to a minority within their own party. Takes both sides. Focus is on the quarterback but the line needs to work together in order for the team to move downfield.

Reminds me of a Franklin P. Jones quote: Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
