But moderation is valued, as Klobuchar shows in Minnesota.
There is nothing Centrist about voting for perhaps the largest and certainly most partisan bill ever - the Affordable Care Act, one that will cost many Minnesotans their jobs in fact.
So proud of my country and state right now. Obama reelected, multiple awesome Dems elected (and reelected) to the Senate, voter ID and marriage amendments defeated, gay marriage approved in 3 states. Overall a great day to be a Democract, and an American. Well done!
I am not optimistic about Obama's second term. I do not believe he has any interest in being a moderator of political differences, yet does not possess the legislative advantage that is required to jam through a lopsided agenda. Look for a 4 year period where virtually nothing gets done and the country becomes even more insolvent in economics and spirit.
A great night for Minnesota...
Let's hope that Barry moves more towards the middle and focuses on the economy . A good leader knows how to make progress. The GOP needs to throw out the ultra conservatives and move towards the middle. I really hope that we have better candidates to choose from in the next election.
Congrats to Obama. I do have to say however that this country is proving more and more to have uneducated people who are way too influenced my media, music industry and colleges. I'm afraid way too many people voted for Obama that don't really understand which candidate was best for the country. Obama has kept us in a war in Afghanistan which has killed more people than Bush's Iraq, he hasn't balanced a budget and has put a huge debt burden on all of us and he supports women's "right" to kill baby's that haven't been delivered yet. Romney was the best candidate - this is kind of a sad reflection on what our society has become.
This election, by the majority of the country, is a vote FOR the prez, and a vote AGAINST the ideologues that have been trying to take over. It will depend on them as much as the prez to cooperate...the question remains as to whether they know how to do this.
It's a great day...
Bring on the 4 more years of Deadlock. Looking forward to it. His second term will be like the first nothing but more Deadlock. Personally I am all for it. Bring it on.
What a tragically sad day for America and especially Minnesota. Generations from now this will be looked back as a terrible aberration - the pain and suffering it will cause will take decades to reverse, but reversed it will be. Have never been so ashamed to be a Minnesotan. God Bless America, and God Bless Minnesota, Land of 10,000 mistakes.
World securities are up based on the anticipation of more money printing, gold is up & the dollar lost more value. That's all one needs to know about the re-election of president "free stuff", who in his own words views business as the enemy.
