He's a surprise for the U.S. people, but to europeans like me he's not, he was dominant in the euroleague. He has the same glance and the same confidence in his game as Rubio, great young guy with a great mentality.

From what I read about Shved before he came to the U.S. was that there were concerns about his skinny frame. For the past 3 years or so people didn't believe that Shved could hold up to the NBA pounding at 6'6" tall when he weighed only around 170 lbs. Shved is 20 lbs. bigger now and although still skinny he looks strong out on the floor. I don't really know about any other previous concerns regarding Shved.

Rubio better have developed a shot or he will be the backup. And if Rubio hasn't developed a shot after eight years of "professional" ball, what's the chances of him suddenly developing one? Being out with an injury is a perfect time for him to correct his awful technique. We'll see in a couple months if he has offensive game or not.

With the new haircut, Alexi Shved looks EXACTLY like a young Tony Kukoc! (90's Chicago Bulls). Wouldn;t it be awesome if he produces like Tony did?!?!?!?!?

I agree that it was all about the haircut. Besides the fact that he now looks like a 2012 stud instead of a 1960s hippie, he spent so much time in the first two games adjusting the headband and playing with his hair that he had no time left to handle the basketball. Kudos to whoever in Brooklyn gave him the great cut.

Didn't Ben & Jerry's name an ice cream after this guy? Shveddy Basketballs, or something...
