Jerome Simpson a bust? Hardly. Jerome Simpson's production is a non-factor thus far because of Ponder, not Simpson himself. Ponder won't throw to him! He can't throw to him! We could have Fitzgerald on our team, and he would be a non-factor.

It does not matter whether you give Ponder 16 games or another three years a starter. Ponder never played QB position for that long at any higher level i collge. At most he had one mediocre year and that's it, and even with that one year, he was a below average QB And you want him to learn playing QB position in Pros? That's a wishful thinking. If Ponder had any passing, and managing skills at all, they should now be showing, but instead of progress, he's regressing fast. And i am one of those many viking fans who is not willing to see this never ending talk of re-building. All rookie and second year QB with solid college experience are already are delivering big; why should be Ponder be given a special treatment or leeway?

Ponder has never had a chance - Musgrave and his play calling have been no help. Spielman has given him no help in the receiving game and no coaching staff has ever figured out hoe to use AP in the passing game and designed screen plays that work. My answer - bring in a new coaching staff - give Ponder another year under a decent coaching staff. Look at a QB later in the draft. Maybe the guy from NC Stae.

ltufvesson Ponder has already had enough time. It is not the coaching staff nor is it the receivers. If Ponder was throwing 30+ yd passes and missing the mark that is one thing. He can't even get the ball beyond 5-10 yds accurately. He should have never been drafted. Read the scouting reports.

Ponder has Harvin, Simpson, Rudolph and AP, yet some Ponder-aholics STILL think it's a lack of talent around him is the reason for his struggles. Time to wake up! Ponder has more talented weapons than about 70% of the league! At what point do you start holding Ponder accounting producing the worst QB #'s in the NFL. Do we need Fitz, Megatron on our team and the best O-Line in the NFL to be convinced? Get Real.
