Adrian Peterson didn't get the ball much in the second half because poor quarterback play limited opportunity.

Ok you seem to be on the side of the OC. Well, tell me why the ball did not go to the TE, and why on short 3rd down plays, he had Ponder throw the ball 30 yards downfield and out of bounds by 5 years on each of them UNcatchable. I agreed Ponder needs the looksee, but he is getting worse each game. I am afarid he is the one QB drafted early rounds that is going to be a failure. The rest of the rookies are kicking out asses.

EXCELLENT ANALYSIS - and I'm in the "Musgrave is killing us" group.

Methinks the key stat was in the third "paragraph" (I put it in quotes because only in a newspaper do paragraphs comprise two or fewer sentences): the Vikings ran 19 offensive plays, compared to 49 (?!) by the Seahawks.

With Ponder as QB, it doesn't matter who the OC is..................

Ponder was the difference when they were winning and he is the difference now that they are losing. This is the essentially the same team as last year. Substitute Ponder for McNab. Ponder is now playing like McNab. Ponder needs to get to work and fix his game.

So for the next seven weeks we'll get to hear the same excuses from Ponder and the Vikings about having to "look at the film" and knowing that everything is "fixable". However most Viking fans already realize that the BEST fix is to replace the coaching staff and the QB in 2013.

The point that is being missed is that a more imaginative OC should be able to get us more than 19 plays in a half! Come on! Ponder is a mess right now, but our OC was poor last year and remains poor this year -- he can't keep getting a pass. The guy is in over his head. He was a QB coach in ATL and is NOT qualified to lead an NFL offense. Anyone notice how far Atlanta has come SINCE HE LEFT?! Why is that not more obvious to the writers here? You have to build your plan around your people, not the other way around.

Ponder is Culpepper Ponder cannot sort out what he is seeing. (reading the defense) quick enough to react to it. Where is Rudolph ? Do you really mean Ponder cannot even get him the ball ? Musgrave those sideline flare passes are terrible. Is that the only pass Ponder can complete ? a lateral pass... Vikings need and WANT WEBB.... Fraizer and Musgrave must GO... the sooner the better..... PATHETIC.....

i cannot help but point the finger at Musgrave and Frazier...remember Ponder is in this second year...meanwhile Musgrave/Frazier have years of being in the league as coaches and players so to me the onus sticks with the...seriously show me one team that lost to 3 different rookie QB's in one season!!! ROOKIE QB's who are supposed to be adjusting to the speed of the NFL...but back to Ponder..if you see only 7 men in the box you need to have the permission and knowledge to call an audible at the line...this was one of the main reasons 2009 with Favre worked...he could read and adjust to defenses...meanwhile not only is our QB but our coaches as well cannot adjust to the other team.....

Valid points, but it is Ponder and Musgrave that make their $$$ on 1st and 3rd downs! Right now they should be paying in!! It is pretty clear by the results that they are putting stress on our over worked Punter's Leg! Not to mention the former run defense. I like the coaching staff, but it could be a group of good guys in the wrong roles. Then again, they are up 2 wins from last year and came out of the gate strong.......Could be a lack of talent overall to support 2 really good players in AP and #12. You would have to be Joe Webb fast to get open for a deep throw with the protection this QB is not getting. Vick seems to be getting less time and he's sure looking good?
