Minnesota reports 11th patient with infection tied to tainted steroid

The new case is in a woman in her 70s who was among nearly 1,000 in Minnesota who received faulty injections.

People should remember where this outbreak originated. It started in Massachusetts from a Massachusetts drug manufacturer following that Commonwealth's deregulation of the drug industry and reduction of the regulatory staff (thus reduction of the protections we expect from our government) under the governor from 2003 to 2008. That same governor is running for President and advocating those same deregulation policies for the country he advocated in Massachusetts.

There's a little more to it than that, worlhood. One of management team of the two compouunding pharmacies involved was on the regulatory board when earlier violations were reported. She was fired from the regulatory board a couple of weeks ago.
